Brief Introduction:
Through Classroom and field experience,
students
and their teachers gain an understanding
of how
community and individual behaviors
and attitudes
ultimately affect the preservation
of our natural resources. The District conducts a wide
variety of education programs for schools, school districts, teachers, and docent-naturalists in the greater Los Angeles area. These include outdoor environmental education and field study programs, science-based classroom programs, teacher workshops, as well as training programs for naturalists and volunteers in resource restoration projects.
Scheduling takes places all year, please call the District education office to set a date. If you are unable to speak directly with education staff, please leave your name, a time, and a phone number at which we can reach you easily.
