Student Internship Projects
Students at all levels are encouraged
to contact us concerning projects in
the
Topanga Creek Watershed.
Middle and
High School students have
conducted
numerous award winning
science fair
projects in the watershed.
Everything
from the effects of water quality on
frogs and macro-invertebrates, to monitoring bat and turtle populations, to evaluating the impacts of non-native predators on native species, to removal of invasive exotic vegetation have been subjects of these projects. Students receive community service credits for their efforts, as well as have a great time!
College and graduate level internships can also be arranged. Previous projects have included evaluation of fire risk associated with native vegetation, to restoration planning.
