RCD Education also offers unique classroom programming designed for teachers who cannot get away for a field trip.
These programs have a special theme and focus with an emphasis on kinesthetic activity to engage your students and get them moving.
Lasting one to two hours, they include the following options:
- Students learn native American myth while taking on character roles and acting the story out with hand-puppets.
- Students learn Chumash material culture while comparing artifacts, playing stick-dice and making acorn meal.
- Students play show-and-tell with real native fish specimens, then engage in fish printing activity using rubber molds, paint and paper (the school art room is needed for this activity).
